Lost bears, donated bears, live in the Charity Shop
down by the river in 'Comfortable Place'. But it's no
ordinary shop; above its door an unusual stained glass
window helps all manner of things come to life.

How it all began, on
just an ordinary day

In the Charity Shop below
the window, the room is
bathed in a special light.

Now it just so happens
that a sofa, littered with
teddy bears , rests in
just that sunlit spot.

But the glass is
not safe. The
Jackdaws, stalk
the scene from the
weathered ledges
of the ...old mill.

Biscuit'Comfortable Place basked contentedly in the brilliant sunshine. Windows swung open, net curtains waved to each other across the terrace, milk churns rumbled and clanked across the bone-dry earth banging holes into the chorus of  sparrows, wind chimes and rustling leaves.

The Charity Shop door opened and laughter escaped into the square narrowly missing two ladies chatting and pointing from the doorway of the little Post Office.

Biscuit and friends, a brown woolly teddy bear, sat patiently in the shop window; he often sat in the shop window on sunny afternoons.'
