The Charity Shop is home to Biscuit and his friends. ‘Odd’ things happen here all the time but mostly they go unnoticed. The shop is very special indeed; it rests in a slumber that events are about to change. A simple storm could be all it takes to change their peaceful lives forever.
Biscuit pressed his face hard up against the shop window as he gazed out at the heavy rain beating down on the road outside with a loud hiss. The shop lay still and empty of customers and for Biscuit time began to drag. A gust of wind hurled the driving rain into the window sounding like gravel striking the glass but Biscuit hardly noticed. He stared sadly through the distorted rain swept window as a flash of lightning lit up the shop; for a split second, everything turned white. Rumbling thunder swiftly followed and the little shop trembled in its wake.

Above the shop door, of Inside the Charity Shop, is a small coloured window. The window is very old and dark, except on sunny days and moonlit nights. The window is made of stained glass and if you look closely shows a strange scene of teddy bears in a wood with some other objects that are not alltogether clear. Where the glass came from is a mystery but it has a secret. The glass is very old, much older than the panel, and has been used over and over again.
As the lightning flashed the colours of the little window lit up the shop with a very special light.

Biscuit moved away from the window and blinked at the strange light. The other toys in the shop did the same. Sherbet, the shop dog, lifted his head from his warm blanket, twitched his nose at the ionised air and slumped back to the warmth of his blanket.
An almighty crash shook the glass in the shop window as a torent of rainwater gushed from the ceiling. The calm quiet shop was about to become a hive of activity any second. to be continued
Biscuit was having a quiet day...
Meet Sherbet Inside the Charity Shop dog.
He’s cute, so cute he gets away with far too much. Sherbet, the Charity Shop dog, is loved by everyone who meets him. He is friendly, playful and always there to greet people as they enter the shop. But he’s a dog, and dogs do things they like to do, whether anyone else likes it or not?
Sherbet likes to chase flies around the shop. In the summer this can go on for hours, leaping at windows curtains or anything really. Once he catches one he holds it in his mouth for ages; you can hear him buzzing as he walks about. Why he does it, know-one knows as he always spits them out? Off they fly and the whole thing starts again.
This is a dog that likes to eat. And when Floyd is busy trying out a new recipe (or even an old one) Sherbet is always close at hand.
The garden is his special place, where things are buried.
Sherbut is the soppiest dog you will ever meet and probably the worst guard dog in the world, he would even run away from his own shadow. Comfortable Place wouldn’t be the same without him.
"
What shall I bury today?" thought Sherbet in one of those rather bored moments of a very quiet day.
